Katcher AI finds your business imposters.
Fake storefronts built on your name, your photos and your listings. Every one is reported to you with dated evidence you can check yourself. Then you choose: ask us to take it down, or send the notice yourself.

Production scanner on the live internet, 13 September 2026. Brand names are not published.
What Katcher does
A scanner, a reviewer, and a notice writer. In that order.
Katcher is a monitoring service for e-commerce brands. It watches the web for stores impersonating you, proves what they copied, and prepares everything needed to take them down.
Finds the copies
Generates the domain names a copier would register and sweeps public TLS certificate logs for names no list could guess. Each one is DNS-checked, then fetched politely with an honest user agent.
Proves what they took
Records what each live store serves: your product photos byte for byte, your titles and descriptions, files pulled straight from your CDN, domain age. Every line timestamped, with a way to re-check it.
Puts a person in between
A named reviewer approves or rejects every finding before you see it. Rejections need a written reason. Nothing reaches your dashboard unreviewed, and your own stores are cleared, never reported.
Prepares the takedown
Drafts the notice with every field filled from the evidence except the sworn ones, which are yours. Runs the routes that need no signature: Safe Browsing, host, registrar, CDN, payment processor. Watches until the store is gone.
Why it matters
A fake store does not just take your photos. It takes your customer.
The copy is convincing because it is your copy. The shopper orders, gets nothing or gets junk, and then comes looking for you.
You get the blame
The one-star review lands on your listing. The chargeback lands in your inbox. The customer never learns there was a scammer, so as far as they know, you did this.
You lose the second sale
A buyer who thinks they already bought from you does not come back. The order is gone and so is the repeat.
You pay more for your own name
Copycats bid on your brand terms and fill the results page with clones. Your cost per click goes up. Your listing goes down.
Scale of it: CTM360 reported in February 2026 one operation running more than 30,000 storefronts against 350 apparel brands, with around 8,000 live at any moment and 50 new domains a day.
The evidence
This is what a finding looks like.
The shape of a real finding from the 13 September run, with the brand and domain replaced. Nothing here is a claim about anyone. It is a list of things the scanner observed, each with a timestamp and a way to see it yourself.
Not established either way: whether a licence, wholesale or affiliate relationship exists. Only the rights holder can settle that, which is why the notice’s sworn fields stay blank.
The three marked lines decide it. A 51-day-old domain reusing your title has an innocent explanation. A 51-day-old domain pulling image files off your own CDN does not have many.
Noise removal
Most look-alikes are noise. It is removed before you see it.
Of 230 candidate names that resolved in DNS across the 25 brands, most were parked pages, for-sale landers, dead hosts or the brand’s own regional stores. Each is suppressed with a written reason you can read in the scan log.
Your own stores
A candidate on your Shopify shop, or on your authorised list, is cleared and never reported. Regional storefronts on your own shop were cleared this way in the run.
Older than you
A domain registered before your brand cannot be a copy of it. Recorded for completeness, flagged as such.
Parked and for sale
Parking-provider markers, “this domain is for sale”, empty redirect stubs, HTTP errors. Suppressed with the reason.
Reviewed by a person
What survives the filters still waits for a named reviewer. An unrelated business sitting on a typo of your name gets rejected with a reason. You never see it.
Taking it down
We close it, or we hand you everything to close it yourself.
Route one: we close it
Every channel that needs no signature from you. These describe what a site is doing, not who owns what, so they need no rights holder and your contact details never appear on them.
- Google Safe Browsing, so every browser warns visitors
- The host's abuse desk
- The registrar, under its published policy
- The CDN and the payment processor
We send, chase and keep checking. A store is only marked closed after two separate offline observations at least an hour apart. One failed connection is not a takedown.
Route two: you send the notice
Copyright and trademark notices reach venues the first route cannot, but they carry a sworn statement that the seller is not authorised. Only you can make it, because only you know who you have authorised.
- Every other field filled from the evidence
- Shopify stores: pre-addressed to Shopify's copyright agent
- Other venues: evidence sheet plus registrar lookup
- You review it and send from your own address
We do everything that does not need your signature and prepare everything that does. We never sign anything as you.
When you send an IP notice, the platform passes your contact details to the store’s operator. We tell you that before you send, every time. On the reports we send ourselves, that never happens.
The evidence pack
What you get back from a scan
A folder per brand, readable in any browser, that survives a takedown and a respawn because every capture is dated.
- Every suspicious domain found, and every one suppressed, with the reason
- The evidence sheet per store: each observation, its timestamp, how to re-verify it
- Exactly what was copied, next to your own
- Domain age and registration record
- Which platform the store runs on, and its own shop identity
- Where each venue says to report, per its own published policy
- The takedown notice drafted, every field filled but your signature
- The private results page and the email, exactly as you receive them
- Re-scans on a schedule, with an email when anything changes
- If nothing was found, a clean report that says so

Where the product is today.
Honest about the build, because the product is built on being checkable.
- Image evidence is byte-hash and perceptual-hash matching on sampled product images. Full-page dated screenshots are next.
- The one-click notice route is Shopify's copyright agent. Other venues get an evidence sheet plus a registrar lookup.
- Discovery runs on name permutations and certificate transparency logs. Registration-day zone-file watching is designed and waiting on registry access.
- Manual scans work from every brand page in your account today. Scheduled re-scans are being switched on for customer accounts.
FAQ
Straight answers.
Do you take it down, or do I?
Either, per store. Everything that needs no signature, we send and chase. Notices carrying a sworn statement are yours to send, and we fill in every other field.
How many stores have you taken down?
None yet. Katcher is new, and we would rather say so than dress up a number. It is why finding and evidence cost nothing: you can see what we turn up for your brand and judge it on the evidence rather than on our claims.
What if the store comes back on a new domain?
It happens, and it is why respawn watch is included. A reappearance by the same operator within 90 days is re-prepared at no charge.
Do you work with our resellers?
You give us your authorised list and we clear against it. Anything we cannot place is raised as a question, never as an accusation.
Start with your own domain.
One full pass, free, no card, no sales call. If we find nothing, we will tell you that too.
About three minutes. You get an email with a private link to your results.
