How Katcher works
Three steps: find the storefronts using your brand that you have not authorised, prove what each one copied with evidence you can check yourself, and close it or prepare the notice for you to send. Nothing is asserted about who owns what until you decide to act.
Find
Katcher generates the domains a copier would register and sweeps public certificate-transparency logs, catching names no fixed list would hold. Each candidate is DNS-checked, fetched, and compared against your store on seven signals.
Prove
Every finding is a dated evidence pack, and every line carries the means to re-verify it yourself. A reviewer approves or rejects each one before you see it, with a written reason for anything rejected. Your own authorised stores are cleared.
Close it, or you do
You decide per store. Katcher sends and chases the routes that need no signature, and stores come down as a result. Or it prepares the copyright or trademark notice, filled from the evidence, for you to review and send from your own address.
Straight answers
How does Katcher find fake storefronts?
Katcher generates the domain names a copier would register and sweeps public TLS certificate logs for names no list could guess. Each candidate is DNS-checked, then fetched, then compared against your store on seven signals: product photography matched image for image, duplicated descriptions and titles, your brand used in listings, domains built from your brand, sites calling themselves the official store, your support details reused elsewhere, and recently registered domains with a hidden registrant.
What evidence does Katcher produce?
Each finding becomes a dated evidence pack. Every line carries the link or command needed to re-verify that fact independently. A reviewer approves or rejects every finding before it reaches your dashboard, and rejections require a written reason. Your own authorised stores are cleared and never reported.
What are the options once a store is confirmed?
You choose per store. Katcher can file with Google Safe Browsing, the host, the registrar, the CDN and the payment processor through routes that need no signature and keep your contact details off the submission. Or Katcher prepares the copyright or trademark notice with every field filled from the evidence, leaving only the sworn statement for you to review, sign and send.
